The problem
Interest exists long before a booking does — and nothing captures it.
Every week, people who want the same game at the same facility on the same afternoon never find each other. The facility cannot see the demand. The game never happens. Everybody assumes there was no interest.
A booking without people is not a game
You reserve the court, then spend three days in group chats trying to fill it — and cancel anyway.

Four people wanting Tuesday afternoon badminton at the same facility, none of whom know the other three exist.
Facilities cannot see demand forming

Intent statuses
Three signals. That's the whole vocabulary.
Deliberately simple, and deliberately honest about uncertainty — because most sporting plans genuinely are uncertain until they are not.

“I expect to play, but I have not committed.”
- Planning to Attend
“I intend to be there — still not a booking.”
Be clear about this
A Play Intent is not a booking.
It does not reserve space.
It does not guarantee attendance.
It does not guarantee a game.
It does not create a payment or an obligation.
Community Pulse is a signal, not a transaction. To actually reserve space you book — through the facility, the app, or our call centre. Keeping the two separate is what makes the signal worth trusting.

You choose how visible you are.
Signalling interest should never mean broadcasting your schedule. Community Pulse is built so that participating in aggregate is a full, first-class option.
Your controls
- Participate in aggregate only — you are counted, not named
- Or display limited voluntary identity, if you want to be findable
- Change your mind at any time; intent is not a commitment
- Community Pulse identity information is deleted when you delete your account

Community Pulse starts simple on purpose. As the network grows, it can do more — but only in ways that keep the signal honest.
